New online project results of “Retrofit_20B_Lände_NordWest”

The project results of the master course Retrofit_20B_Lände_NordWest are now published online. The Design project is part of “Research Initiative Retrofit Vienna”, consisting of PlanSinn (Wolfgnag Gehrlich), the Department of Urban Design, TU Wien (Andreas Hofer) and MIA (Andrea Überbacher), which is dedicated on the sustainable transformation of existing urban areas.

In this course architecture students of TU Wien developed urban design projects for an post-war modernism housing area including five housing blocks of the 1950s and 1960s and its open spaces in Wien Brigittenau. The semester course was accompanied by an intensive dialog between students and local stakeholders and relevant institutions. The projects engaged with topics such as animal aided design, climate adaption and the spatial just urban development in Wien Brigittenau. For more information and results follow the link:
